Deepishikha: "We'll get married again in the presence of both our kids"

Less than a year ago, Deepshikha (known more as the Parveen Babi look-alike and less for her roles in <em>Kittie Party</em> and <em>Karishma- The Miracles Of Destiny</em>) had separated from hubby of five years, Jeet Upendra. Upendra, for those with long memories, was the guy who shook his torso to the famous '<em>Hawa Hawa</em>' number in <em>Don 2</em>. Deepshikha even went on record telling us that she had legally dissolved their marriage.
Less than a year ago, Deepshikha (known more as the Parveen Babi look-alike and less for her roles in Kittie Party and Karishma- The Miracles Of Destiny) had separated from hubby of five years, Jeet Upendra. Upendra, for those with long memories, was the guy who shook his torso to the famous 'Hawa Hawa' number in Don 2. Deepshikha even went on record telling us that she had legally dissolved their marriage. Curiouser things are known to happen in tinsel town, but we did get jolted a bit when a glowing Deepshikha coyly admitted to us last week that the two are now back with each other, and expecting a second visit from the stork, too! "We'll get married again in presence of both our kids. It will be fun," says a giggling Deepshikha. Of the interim upheaval that rocked her domestic boat, Deepshikha says, "Our four-year old daughter Vidhika had stayed with me. Jeet used to come and take her for an outing as and when he wanted. Sometimes, he even took her to his parents. I had no reservations about that. While I was away for a shoot outside Mumbai, I left Vidhika with him. We were not on talking terms for some days, but we hadn't become enemies." When did they become friends again, err, lovers? Deepshikha laughs, "We soon realized that we had divorced in haste. Vidhika was uncomfortable whenever there was only one parent around her. We also started missing each other. We had taken an immature decision. Why couldn't we rectify it? Mind you, we had not married in haste that we should repent at leisure. We had been very good friends before we became man and wife. We got talking about it and put our heads together. It's no short of a miracle, but a lot of thought has gone into it, too." Last week, the couple hosted a bash to herald the opening of their pub 'D' Nosh' in Khar, Mumbai. "I don't care what people might say about us. My family is together again and that matters the most to me. I wish every couple like us which repents the separation should dissolve their ego and get back with each other," she philosophises. Well, here's hoping this is the enduring ending of a long winding fairy tale!
