MUMBAI: Delnaaz Irani s one of the most popular faces on small screen who has been a part of many famous shows. Delnaaz has majorly done light-hearted and comic roles till now but she is now set to wow us with her brand new avatar in Chhoti Sardarrni.  

Talking to TellyChakkar exclusively about the same, Delnaaz spilled beans on what motivated her to give her nod to the role, how she is trying to nail it, and much more.

This is the first time that Delnaaz will be seen in a role that has some negative traits. Talking about it, Delnaaz said, "Marta is very firm, strict, and a disciplinarian. My character has some negative traits but it's not an out-and-out negative role."

She further added, "In my entire career, this is the first time that people would love to hate me."

On being asked what made her take up such a role, Delnaaz said, "It was extremely challenging for me. Comedy has always been a cakewalk for me but I wanted to break the notion that I can only do comedy."

Talking about her cameo, Delnaaz said, "It is an impactful role which viewers are not going to forget for a very long time."

"I am going to do such unexpected things with Sarab and Meher that the viewers are going to hate me,” signed off the actress.

Delnaaz will be seen as the mother of a disabled girl and interestingly, she will have two kinds of personalities. She will be extremely rude and unapologetic about her nature but when it comes to her daughter, she will be like any ordinary mother.

The talented actress revealed that she is extremely excited and hoping that viewers would love and appreciate her in this role.

Marta's entry in Sarabjit’s and Meher's lives will create havoc. It will be testing times for the duo and lots of interesting twists will be seen in the upcoming episodes.
