Amal plays the character of Santok in Harphool Mohini. Santok is a mature guy. He has got a lot of stability in his life, and he is not impulsive at all. He thinks, takes time and then reacts and always tries to strike out a balance between his family and outsiders.

Now, in an  exclusive conversation with Tellychakkar.com, Amal opened up on his stint with the show.

Tell us something about your character in Harphool Mohini

I am very fortunate and I want to thank my makers and the channel because firstly it is the same team of Choti Sardaarrni and they have been kind enough to repeat me in the show. I do not like the fact that Choti Sarrdaarni is going off-air. I wish they could take back their decision.  This character is very different from my previous character. My earlier character was primarily positive but this character has multi layers. He feels jealous, helpless and at the same time he cares too. For that matter, here I also have to limp and walk which is challenging in a way too.

How did you prepare for the character as it has the hint of Haryana?

I belong to a culture which is a mixture of Jatt and Bhramin so this lingo is in my blood. Jatt’s have been portrayed in a very stereotypical way but there is a human side to them too. So I have got to showcase the emotions of a Jatt and I am very excited about the same.

What kind of a bond do you share with your co-stars from Harphool Mohini?

There are two things which I feel while shooting with experience actors like Supriya Shukla, Tej Sapru and many more. It surreal because we have grown up seeing them acting and when you get a chance to spend time with them behind the scenes, it is exciting in itself. Secondly, it is a great learning experience as they come with a lot of practical and theatrical knowledge. Only by performing scenes with them you grow a lot as an actor.

Well said Amal!
