MUMBAI: Actor Avinesh Rekhi is all set to be back with his new show Ik Kudi Punjab Di once again after a gap of few months.
He has bagged a lead role in Zee TV's upcoming show which is bankrolled by Dome Entertainment.
The actor was previously seen in Zee TV's show Tere Bina Jiya Jaaye Na opposite Anjali Tatrari.
And now, the actor will be romancing actress Tanisha Mehta in his new show.
Well, the show's buzz is already quite high ever since it was announced.
As the show's launch inches closer, TellyChakkar got in touch with Avinesh who spoke about Tanisha's work and much more.
Praising his co-star Tanisha's work, Avinesh said, ''She is doing a very good job. The first time when I saw her audition, I could not believe. She is half Gujarati and half Marathi and I was surprised. I thought she was a Punjabi because the way she spoke the dialogues, she was very fluent.''
Recalling any funny incidents while shooting for the promo, Avinesh said, ''The promo shoot was very small so there are no as such funny moments. The only funny part was when we were practicing the dialogues from our respective vanity rooms.''
He continued, ''When you are shooting for a promo for the channel, we are not aware of the show's story. I always feel nervous as what character I am going to portray, I will have to bring out the whole thing in the promo. It gets very tricky.''
After shooting for the promo in Chandigarh, they will now shoot for the show in Mumbai.
Sharing his excitement for the same, Avinesh said, ''I am very excited as our set is here in Mumbai. It is a different feeling to shoot at the show's set.''
