Indraxi Kanjilal plays the role of Prarthana Bapodra on the show Pushpa Impossible.

TellyChakkar got in touch with the actress, to talk about how she landed the part and how her journey has been, and more.

How did you bag the role in Pushpa Impossible?

Getting this show also seemed impossible for me as it was my first audition for a National Television-based project. However, when JD sir, our producer, viewed my first audition, he felt that he saw his Prarthana Bapodra in me. It was a little tough, but I managed to bag the role.

Now that it's been so long since you have been a part of the show, what has been the maker’s especially  JD Majethia Sir's feedback on your acting and work?

This journey has been a beautiful journey, in fact, I didn’t even realize when we came this far. I just remember working hard each day to satisfy the actor inside me, who wants to portray the character perfectly. Prarthana Bapodra is very close to my heart,. She is me and I am her. I made her what she is and she made me what I wanted to be. I spent the first few days learning and performing. JD Sir, being a generous person, always praised the scenes where I did great and explained the scenes where I could have been better. He is truly a mentor for all of us.

Were you nervous when you got to know that you had been finalized for this role or were you more excited, what was the prep like?

I was nervous yet excited when I got to know I was selected as Prarthana Bapodra for Pushpa Impossible. I even remember the date well, it was 6th May 2022. I had gone to a mall to watch Dr. Strange being the MCU fan I am, and just before the movie started I got a call from the team to inform them that I was finalized for the role and I had to come to Mumbai. I was over the moon when I got to know that but then leaving my home city where I lived since birth and moving to a whole new city was terrifying for me. I was extremely nervous about my first day too. I didn’t know, if the people would like me or not, but coming this far, I realized, God has been kind to me and everything I got here is precious and close to my heart.

What was your family and friends' reaction like, when they saw you on the screen for the first time?

My parents, when they found out I was cast in a television show, they were extremely proud and happy for me. They were even happier than me, but they were skeptical about me going to Mumbai on my own as I was only 18 years old, hence my mom tagged along with me, leaving her own work for some time. I would always value this sacrifice of hers, she is the best person in my life. My father, he is always so proud of me and I am so glad that I have a father like him, who is so supportive and loving.
