MUMBAI: Dangal TV has brought an amazing storyline by presenting Rakshabandhan featuring Nyra Banerjee and Nishant Singh Malkani in the leading roles. Actor Yogendra Kumeria, is one of the cast members who has a creative contribution in the show and with the talent that he has, he is sure to charm his way through the audience’s hearts.

How is your experience been shooting for the show?

Experience was very nice, the cast and crew were very helpful and it was not like I am going on a shoot and it was like fun and even though we had lot of emotional scenes and drama, it was not like I was feeling depressed , we were very comfortable and laughing and doing even the heavy scenes which were not very heavy on my mind.

What is your role like and how did you prepare it?

It was difficult for me because it was different from whatever I have done and in real life I am not like that and because the character is very timid and hand packed , his wife scold him and he do not have his own voice, even though his sister is getting tortured he do not have the courage to fight back or do the out burst, and even he is insulted or anything wrong is happening with his family he is not active , I have always played the characters which are different and I had to work on it quite a lot, I had to change my voice tones and it took me big time before the shoot started and when we started shooting Ravindra sir guided us and after that I became the character . 

How is your bond with Nyra and Nishant?

They are nice co actors and you need a nice give and take relationship and they are very supportive and never come across against each other , most of my shoots are with Nishant and they were emotional so the tears and sorrow coming was natural from both the ends , both are very good actors. 

Can you tell me about the shows you’ve done in past?

I am working around past 14 years and I started my career with Balika Vadhu and that was my first permanent show and I had only come for 4 episodes and I was the one who was taking charge of all the scenes and everybody liked the character and it became on and off continuity character and I did it for 2 years till the show took the lead and after that I did Hum Ladkiya, Dil mil gaye , Hamari Beti Raaj Karegi, and before the audience were only knowing about me but Beyhadh was a huge show and it was not popular on TV but it was popular on YouTube and after that I did Namkaran and then Hum Paanch.

As Dangal is a new channel so do you think the show will gain that momentum?

Definitely, if it would have been Colors or other channels the things would have been different but none the less the things have not left any stones untouched, they have tried to keep it like star plus show, even if you’ll see the set up is also very huge and nothing is like it is a new show and every show has its own fate and when I started doing Balika Vadhu that time Colors channel was not launched and that time I was just playing a character from 12th episode and all were discussing the primary character and that became a bench mark show and I hope the audience who are watching , I get lot of fan messages and they sent letters and messages and complimenting me and asking what will happen next, everything is showing positive response. 

Don’t you miss being a part of a show like Balika Vadhu season 2?

Definitely I would love to be a part of such show, it is on makers to call me and I am ready to work and I was not approached me and they have new characters and everything is decided and if you get the chance you will get it , when Taarak mehta started we did not have any other shows apart from FIR and now it is running for 12-13 years and is one of the best shows.  (Also Read: WOW!
