EXCLUSIVE! Tera Mera Saath Rahe fame Vandana Vithlani on getting typecast: I never felt so, but I think if the artist thinks how different he can perform the same characters, he will enjoy it more

MUMBAI: Actress Vandana Vithlani is seen in Star Bharat's most-watched and loved drama series Tera Mera Saath Rahe.

The talented diva is seen playing the role of Ramila in the show.

Tera Mera Saath Rahe marks the reunion of Rupal Patel, Gia Manek, Vandana Vithlani, and Mohammad Nazim who were seen in the first season of Saath Nibhana Saathiya.

Vandana Vithlani’s character Ramila is getting a great response from the viewers.

We have seen how Vandana's character has undergone many changes over the months.

TellyChakkar got in touch with Vandana who spoke about her dream role, changes in Ramila's character, social media response and much more.

What kind of changes would you like to see in Ramila's character? 

It all depends on the viewers also. Ramila's character is neither completely negative nor positive. She only sees her own benefit. Ramila won't kill anyone for her benefit. I feel where I find my own benefit, I'll stick to that situation. I would want to plan and plot things in different ways which will also be fun for the viewers to watch.  

What kind or response do you get on social media for Ramila's character?

The response is simply great. They really love my character. They want to see more of me on-screen. 

Do you feel you are typecast for playing certain kinds of roles?

Not at all. I have been offered different characters in all these years both negative and positive. I have been offered extreme negative characters just like I did in Sasural Simar Ka. Then I did Saath Nibhana Saathiya followed by Hamari Bahu Silk, who was a positive character who was a very docile lady. I never felt like I got typecast. It does happen that artists are offered the same types of roles. But I feel if the artist thinks how different he can perform the same characters, he will enjoy it more.  

Do you have any dream roles?

For me, all the characters are quite fun. Because I think that I can do something different in each character. So, for me, there is nothing like a dream role.

Vandana has previously done shows like Sasural Simar Ka, Muskaan, Humari Bahu Silk, Kaal Bhairav Rahasya 2, Pandya Store, among others.
