MUMBAI: 2019 might have been a tough year for actor-dancer Faisal Khan who met with an unexpected accident on the set of his show, Chandragupta Maurya and had to quit his participation on Nach Baliye 9. Nevertheless, Faisal isn’t one to give up, he is a phoenix who rises from the ashes.
Although his road to recovery wasn’t an easy one, Faisal put his energy and attention to rebuilding himself from scratch and shared his journey on his social media to motivate and keep fans updated.
It’s a new year, a new decade and Faisal is back on his feet with bigger plans and dreams. Speaking of the accident and his recovery, Faisal said, ‘It has been a long road to recovery as I was bedridden for over 4 months after which I finally took baby steps and with God's grace I am now back on my feet. I drove my car a few days ago for the first time after the accident and this incident has made me a lot more grateful towards life and the basics which we take for granted. It was a hectic work year last year as I was juggling between Chandgraupta Maurya and Nach Baliye as well as commuting between Mumbai and Umergaon. And I want 2020 to be all the more exciting on the work front. In fact, I am really itching to get back onto the sets now! The break was relaxing but if there's one place where I am the happiest, it’s working on a set with cameras rolling."
The transition for Faisal from being a child actor to the main lead hero happened in 2019 as the actor quips, "I did my first web series playing the younger version of our prime minister, Narendra Modi Ji after which my audience finally saw me as a hero rather than a child actor in Chandragupta Maurya. Now whatever I do has to be bigger and better. Regardless of the medium, I am looking to explore myself as an actor", added Faisal speaking of his plans going ahead.
We can’t wait to see Faisal back on screen and we wish him all the luck for the future.
