SAB TV’s long running cop show FIR is all set to become a daily again. This Edit 2 production had recently been shifted to the weekend end band due to low TRPs and also to accommodate new show Tota Weds Maina at its daily 10.30 pm slot. Around the same time, FIR had suffered a major blow when Kavita Kaushik had quit playing the very popular lead Haranyvi cop character Chandramukhi Chautala. Ironically, Kavita had moved to Tota Weds Maina after playing the above FIR characterfor seven long years. She had been replaced by Chak De film fame Chitrashi Rawat. Apparently, the TRPs of the show have gone up since the entry of Chitrashi as Jwalamukhi Chautala (the daughter of Chandramukhi). And as a result SAB TV has decided to again make FIR a daily project. Also the fact that Tota Weds Maina tanked may have played an important role to bring back FIR. Chitrashi confirmed the change in frequency saying, “I am happy to announce that we will once become daily from 8April onwards (2013). The rising popularity of the show and chemistry between the cast led to this decision which makes a lot of sense given that FIR is one of very important brands of the channel.” She also took in her stride the initial criticism that came when she entered Kavita’s shoes. “I don’t get bothered by it, I just do my hard work, my parents have made me very strong,” ended she.
