Food is the best way to cheer someone up: Himansh Kohli

MUMBAI: Himansh Kohli, a self-confessed foodie, says food is the best way to cheer someone up and shared that breakfast muffins by his sister are his absolute favourite.

The "Yaariyan" actor said, "Food is the best way to cheer someone up. 'Khaali paet shaitaan ka ghar, bhara paet insaan ka' and there's no denying that everything feels a little better when the tummy is full. My absolute favourites mood lifters are Vitamin Water, or Energy Drink and Breakfast Muffins made by my sister, Disha."

Being a Delhi boy, he accepts his love for street food, but admits that his inclination has changed because of his diet.

"As a Delhi boy, I love Chhole Bhature, Pav Bhaji, Butter Chicken and whatever lip-smacking street food there is to offer. But, I have to take care of my diet which is why preferences are changed. And needless to say, it's best to avoid street food these days due to Corona," Himansh said.

The Coronavirus pandemic and the consequent lockdown changed our lives completely. Though everyone got to enjoy their time at home, it is true that it changed our lifestyle, and most importantly our sleep cycle. But the actor, who will be soon seen in "Boondi Raita" film, says his bed time was never fixed.

"My sleep time is never fixed. I sometimes wake up at 6am, and sometimes go to sleep at 6am. Totally depends on how busy I am. There are also days when I work, work, work and go to sleep after 2 or 3 days, which is when I crash sleep. But, since the time I have started my fitness regime, I make sure to sleep by 2am, no matter what. Schedule is very important and its very important that we follow the body's rhythmic cycle," he shared.

And do you have a bed time ritual?  "I used to pray before sleeping as a kid. Now, every night ends after binge watching a few episodes or a movie or something on TV. But, that doesn't mean I don't thank God before dozing off. We ought to be grateful for whatever we have, even if it's insignificant in your perspective," Himansh signed off.
