Former Bigg Boss contestant claims she wed Hindi movie legend Rajesh Khanna in private

MUMBAI: Bigg Boss Season 7 remains one of the most talked-about editions of the reality show, remembered not only for Gauahar Khan’s victory but also for its diverse mix of contestants.

Among them was Anita Advani, who, despite her early exit, made headlines during her stint for her close bond with Tanisha Mukerji and for her past association with the late Bollywood icon Rajesh Khanna.

Now, years later, Anita has made a startling revelation in a candid interview with Meri Saheli. She has claimed that she and Rajesh Khanna were, in fact, secretly married, a truth she says was never openly discussed in the industry.

Explaining why the marriage was kept private, Anita shared: “We got married quietly, but in this industry, nobody openly speaks about such matters. People prefer to say ‘we’re friends’ or ‘we’re in a relationship’. Since the media had already linked us, neither of us felt the need to make a public announcement.”

Recalling the intimate ceremony, she revealed that it took place at their home: “We had a small temple at home. He had a mangalsutra made for me, placed a gold-and-black bangle on my wrist, and then applied sindoor. He told me, ‘From today, you are my responsibility.’ That night, just like that, we were married.”

Anita further claimed that she was a part of Rajesh Khanna’s life even before his marriage to Dimple Kapadia, though she was too young at the time for marriage.

She also alleged that she was prevented from attending the superstar’s final rites, stating that security was deployed to stop her from entering.

While Anita had hinted at these claims during her appearance on Bigg Boss Season 7, this time she has spoken with striking candour about her bond with the late superstar and their unspoken marriage.
