After their successful collaboration with Pavitra Rishta, which is number one on the channel, Zee TV now joins hands again with Balaji Telefilms for a new show tentatively titled Keshav Pandit. It is based on a novel written by renowned writer Ved Prakash Sharma. Keshav Pandit happens to be the central character of the novel Vijay Aur Keshav Pandit.
A source informs, "Balaji Telefilms was keen on casting their blue-eyed boy Shabbir Ahluwalia and it was a toss-up between Sarwar Ahuja and Shabbir. But now it seems Sarwar has pocketed the coveted role as even the channel wanted him. Apparently, things haven't materialized between Shabbir and the makers of the show and so in all probability Sarwar will be the lead. This is a thriller especially planned for weekend viewing."
We contacted Ahuja but he refused to comment. We also texted producer Ekta Kapoor but she didn't revert.
To those not in the know, Sarwar Ahuja was the winner of the inaugural
season of Zee TV's talent hunt Zee Cinestars ki Khoj. He is currently seen in Sphere Origin's Jyoti.
