Urmila Matondkar joins hands with Congress
Urmila Matondkar joined Congress Party on Wednesday, and she might contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2019. The actress is expected to field from the Mumbai North constituency.
The 45-year-old Masoom star began her Bollywood career as a child artist at the age of seven with the Shashi Kapoor-Rekha starrer Kalyug in 1981.
Matondkar was one of the judges on the dance reality show Chak Dhoom Dhoom on Colors channel along with Javed Jaffrey and Terence Lewis. She also judged the second season of the dance reality show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, on Sony Entertainment Television.
Colors’ Shrimad Bhagavad to feature Shailendra Srivastava
Shailendra Srivastava, who is known for his work in movies like Rakhta Charitra and Indian Never Again Nirbhaya, will be seen in Colors’ new mythological show, Shrimad Bhagavad, produced by Nikhil Dwivedi, which will depict the post Mahabharata story.
The actor will play the role of Nagraj Takchak in the show.
IPL has given a new meaning to cricket: Ronit Vohra
Ronit Vohra, who recently made his debut with the song Jane Na Tu, is making sure to take out time for the ongoing IPL. The singer says that he loves following the tournament. “I am not a big cricket fan but I love watching it when our Indian team is playing! Who doesn’t? Right? I think IPL hasn’t changed the true meaning of cricket rather it has given a new meaning to it.”
“I believe it’s fun when different players from all across the world are playing together as a team. It adds a lot more excitement to the game. IPL has become the new trend now and people are following it like crazy!” added the actor, who is supporting Chennai Superkings this year.

Actor Soniya Kaur, who is part of Rajan Shahi’s Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke, says that she loves being part of the show. The actor auditioned for a part and bagged it after a meeting with Rajan. “I got a call from the production and so I went to the audition. Then after two days, I got a call from them saying that Rajan Sir really liked my look and my acting and that he has called me for a meeting. After meeting me, Rajan Sir said that he got his Jasmeet, which is my character in Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke,” said Soniya to media.
Previously, the actress has been part of shows such as Anamika, Hum Hain Na, and Bade Bhaiya Ki Dulhaniya.
