Himmanshoo Malhotra kick starts unique social cause ‘Share & Grow’

Nach Baliye winner Himmanshoo Malhotra comes up with a social cause...
Himmanshoo Malhotra

Actor Himmanshoo Malhotra is doing something quite new and exciting on the social front which may have a positive and a very direct impact on people. His unique initiative called 'Share & Grow' is not about motivational speaking, inspirational lectures, guest lectures, celebrity lectures. It is all about sharing and growing, is what Himmanshoo claims.

In a hearty conversation with Tellychakkar.com, the Nach Baliye winner Himmanshoo talked about his unique social initiative.

“The idea here is to share my thoughts, my experiences, my conditioning, my growing up years with people and in turn requesting people to share their's as well. I feel the only way an artist and a human being eventually grows is by gathering all the beautiful experiences of life from every nook and corner of the country, meeting people with different financial, emotional, spiritual and social backgrounds, different conditioning , different cultures, caste, creed and religions. So I thought, why not do something about it and start an initiative to share, in order to grow more and in turn empower others to grow. So this is like sitting in a group of cousins, friends and relatives; more or less like a joint family affair over a dinner table and discussing things informally, asking questions, understanding about life, about people, sharing each other's experiences, careers, break ups, disheartenment, disappointments successes, behavioural patterns, attitudes, optimism and pessimism. Overall, it is about sharing just about anything and everything under the sun and making it fruitful for all of us. That’s why I named it "SHARE & GROW" initiative- Interactive sessions where everyone steps up to interact and talk about their respective lives and experiences so they can empower themselves and others.”

When asked what prompted him to start something this, he said, “A couple of incidents in life prompted me to go in this direction. A major eye opener was during the Nach Baliye season 7. In one of the episodes I said one sentence on stage, on the basis of which I got numerous messages from people. I was told that the one sentence truly changed their lives and their thinking. It helped them in transforming their relationships. So I thought, why not take it one step further and start something where we all come and share our experiences of life with others. You never know, which sentence spoken in the middle of those talks will transform someone else's life. Hence the beginning of "Share & Grow" initiative.

Elaborating on the unique objective, the actor explained, “Everything indeed is super special about 'Share & Grow', because I feel that, deep inside their hearts, everyone needs to know their true calling. We all are just foolishly running around, following others. We need to realise our own true potential which we miss most of the times because we look at other people's lives and want to be like them. That has become our only guidelines to success. Hence, 'Share & Grow' comes as a relief in the middle of all that we are doing. It helps us in guiding us towards our true potential and understanding life from a deeper perspective through our own and other people's experience. With this, I feel I have found my true calling. Maybe through this, other people find their's as well. And that does happen, as we have already seen it, through just a small glimpse.”

What’s more? The actor has been part of few sessions of the program which were conducted in Delhi.

Before biddie adieu, Himmanshoo claimed, “This is just the beginning, and we hope to bring in lot many interesting developments.”

Way to go, Himmanshoo!!
