MUMBAI: Valentine’s Day is around the corner.
When it comes to matters of the heart, many love grand gestures while others prefer to keep it simple and intimate. With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, some of the TV couples shared with Times Of India about their plans and how the pandemic has changed their take on relationships. Read on.
Ishita Dutta Sheth: We believe in keeping celebrations simple and sweet. While it might sound clichéd, we don’t go overboard as every day is special for us. So, I’ll make a special meal for him with all his favourite food and will go for dinner in the evening. Since our marriage, the lockdown was the only time when we got to spend a lot of time together. In every marriage, the couple gets to know each other over the years and the lockdown sped up that process for us.

Neil Bhatt: Honestly, while both of us believe in love, we don’t believe in Valentine’s Day. Hence, we are not planning to celebrate it in a grand way. In fact, both of us will be working on that day. We feel that just being together, giving each other space, and understanding each other matters more. For us, any moment or any day is special with each other.
Aditi Shirwaikar Malik: This year, I plan to make it special as it’s the last time when it will be just the two of us. However, since Mohit recently recovered from COVID-19, he’s being extra cautious. But I do hope he takes me out for a nice dinner. The lockdown was tough on us as my father became unwell and it took a toll on me. But in between all the chaos, Mohit stood by me like a rock. These testing times helped us understand each other better and strengthen our bond.
