I am dating someone who is a pilot by profession: Simran Kaur

Hello everyone, I am Simran Kaur whom you know as Diya from my last show on Colors’ Na Aana Is Des Laado and will soon see in Sony Entertainment Television’s Anamika in which I am playing a chudail (mystery lady) or a ghost. At the outset, let me wish you a Happy Diwali. To start with, a little bit about myself. Born and raised in Mumbai where I stay with my parents and elder sister, I finished my schooling from Divine Child High School and completed my college from Bhavan’s College of Arts. Later, I did my BMM in advertising from Malini Kishore Sanghavi College.
To tell you frankly, I never wanted to be on television. But during my college days I developed a knack of appearing in advertisements. Among several ads, I remember the ads of Nokia, Clean Clear face wash, Eva deodorant, Fruity. After a couple of ads, I started getting calls from production houses to act in their upcoming shows but was not prepared to do any and every kind of roles on television, specially, saas bahu dramas. One day I got a call from Shakuntalam Telefilms to come up and appear in an audition for their upcoming show on Star One. And just for namesake, just went there and gave a try. The next day, I got a call from them informing about my selection. But then, I was not prepared for it. Well, this was the time when we were going through a recession. I was a bit wary to just bypass doing ads at this juncture I would not get ads every day. But, after a lot of head scratching, I agreed doing my first TV show Love Ne Milla Di Jodi as Roshni. After the show ended, I again got a call from Shakuntalam Telefilms, this time to play the role of Diya for Na Aana Is Des Laado. I thought that they were kidding me and playing a prank on me. But then I thought for an actor facing the camera every day, this is a blessing. Not wanting to lose the opportunity, I agreed doing Na Aana Is Des Laado. Hmm.. All said and done, my journey, till date, has been very good. I am lucky and blessed that I never had to go to any production house looking for roles. All my roles have been very close to my heart. Whatever I have learnt till today, are all from my work experience. On the personal front, I am a very simple kind of a person and believe in simplicity. I hate people who show off. I am also a homely person and spend most of my time home watching movies. About my relationship status.. Yes, I am dating a guy who is a pilot by profession. Well, this was my journey for which I would want to thank my parents for supporting me. I hope you guys keep on loving me in my upcoming show Anamika.
