I am a lightning fast bowler, says Pune Anmol Ratan's captain Shaleen Malhotra

Shaleen Malhotra
Shaleen Malhotra was born to be a cricketer and even played as a fast bowler for Delhi U-19. Unfortunately, a freak back injury put permanent brakes on his cricketing career and the handsome hunk soon turned his attention towards acting which is probably what destiny had in store for him. But as they say you can take the man out of cricket but never cricket out of the man, Shaleen is back and how. The dashing TV hunk is all set to lead Team Pune Anmol Ratan in Box Cricket League(BCL). Talking about it, Shaleen says, "I am both nervous and excited. It's good to be nervous because it shows that you are not over confident about your skills." Among the many teams participating in the tournament, Shaleen believes Delhi will be the team to beat. And Shaleen does have a strategy in place for his opponents. "We have our strategies in place for all teams and we will devise it match after match." BCL will see almost 150 television personalities coming together under a single roof. Shaleen sees this as a golden opportunity to meet and bond. "Not even award ceremonies in India can bring together so many people. It's a great opportunity to meet, greet and bond with industry friends." While it may not be a real national cricket tournament, Shaleen believes everyone will play to win and BCL will see high adrenaline charged performances this time as well. Talking about his own abilities as a pace bowler, Shaleen says, "I used to bowl at around 130 kmph in the U-19 days. And with the ball in this tournament being different and lighter, I am sure I will be lightning quick. So if you are a batsman facing me, then you got to be really lucky to even spot the ball." However, Captain Cool says he will make an exception when bowling to beautiful maidens. "I will definitely bowl slow to women. I would like them to hit me rather than me hitting them. So if I lose the match, I will atleast end up winning a cup of coffee with them." Let's wait and see which maiden Shaleen bowls over in BCL. BCL will air on Sony Entertainment Television.
