I have always worked with pretty looking girls, says Siddharth Shukla

He is back!!! Siddharth Shukla stayed away from the small screen since Luv U Zindagi (Star Plus) drew curtains. Fans missed him dearly but the time to remorse has ended as this handsome hunk is back to doing what he does the best…entertaining the masses. Yesterday (15 May 2012), he entered Color’s Balika Vadhu as Shivraj Shekhar and he looked super impressive in this new avatar. “I had met with an accident in November 2011 wherein I had a ligament tear and the injury was really bad. I could hardly walk. Hence, I had to take a break from work. My surgery took place in February 2012 and later I recovered. So when Balika came my way, I said yes. I was away from tube because my health did not permit me to work,” shared Siddharth with Tellychakkar.com. Talking more about his injury he said, “I still cannot run but I don’t have any difficulty in walking.” So does it mean that we won’t get to see him lifting up Anandi (Pratyusha Banerjee) and embracing her in his arms? “I am not very sure if such a scene is coming anytime soon.” So what are his expectations from Balika? “I am just expecting that numbers will double up and I am sure that as the show will progress and grow, so will I.” However, when asked if he fears of being overshadowed by the other actors on the show, he stated, “All the characters are different in their own ways, so there is no issue of being overshadowed. On top of that, I feel that my character will be refreshing for the audience to watch. And I don’t think that anybody can steal limelight from me.” So what if his character clashes with Shashank’s (Vyas playing Jagya) on screen? “You just have to do your work honestly. But even then if you’re compared with someone, then I’d say let the best man win.” Siddharth is a smart looking man who works with beautiful looking belles in different shows. So, doesn’t he get attracted to his co stars? “Just like in any other organization, when you work with different people, you gel as a team. Be it boys or girls, we hang out together and go out for coffee and watching movies. And amidst the bonding, if someone develops a feeling for someone, then there is no harm at all. And guess what? I have always been fortunate to have worked with pretty looking girls.” Siddharth, have a great stint in Balika Vadhu!!!
