MUMBAI: The legendary singer Asha Bhosle believes that the golden era of music which was in the 1950s, 60s, and 70s will never return. And that’s the reason she has become very selective in terms of the work she does. The ace singer was speaking at the launch of ‘Dil Sarphira’ - a beautiful composition by 'A Band of Boys' and Bhosle.
Expressing his excitement of having Asha Ji at the song launch ceremony Karan Oberoi – a member of ‘The Band of Boys’ - says, “Nothing in the world can be a bigger blessing to an artist than to have Asha Ji at the song launch”.
Further elaborating on working with the phenome, the singer turned actor says, “It is just a matter of my good destiny and fortune to have her incredible voice as an association and get recorded in history books as a tiny part of her legacy. Especially so, when over the years she has become increasingly selective about what music she will lend her voice to. If it has mustered a response enough for her to be a part of it, then that’s just the icing on the cake and biggest compliment and testimony to the song."
"She is not just music, music is her. I have a happy feeling about my debut vehicle now,” concludes Oberoi.
The song will be part of Karan’s upcoming movie Strawberry Point which is in its post-production stage. The launch happened amid huge cheers from the crowd in Bandra, Mumbai on October 26.
