"I prefer doing theater and films than TV," says Shreyas Talpade

There are many TV actors who have made it big on the big screen. And Shreyas Talpade is one of them. “I prefer doing theater and films than TV.” But what makes him say this? During my TV days, there were times when I would wait for pack up and we used to spend approximate 15-16 hours on set. Hence, I realized that this was not what I wanted to do.” He has appeared in Zee TV’s Amanat, Woh and X Zone.

However, Shreyas would want to embrace the small screen albeit through reality shows: “If anybody offers me something nice I will surely take it up as it involves a lot of money.” Currently, he is busy promoting his upcoming flick Housefull 2, a sequel. Prior to this, he has also been associated with another Bollywood series, Golmaal. “Certain TV series go on for years and the creatives keep adding newer elements, twists and characters. In reality these elements were meant for a new show, but owing to the popularity of the ongoing show, these ingredients are incorporated in it. The same thing works for existing franchise films, where you can add new masala and serve it fresh. It will surely pick up like Housefull and Golmaal series,” he says of the similarity between TV and films. Here’s hoping that his upcoming film does well at the box office.
