MUMBAI: After tickling the audience's funny bones in "May I Come In Madam?", Sapna Sikarwar and joined the cast of Edit II's new show "Excuse Me Maadam". She says she picked the show as she gets to play a police officer in it.
Talking about her character, she said, "I am playing a lady cop in the show. My character is very dabbang and she is very strict in the police station and as well as at her home. I said yes to the show because I get to play a cop and wear a police uniform, which I always wanted to. This role is very different and unique and the audience will love it."
The show produced by Edit II production house also features Rajesh Kumar, Nyra Banerjee, Sucheta Khanna, Vishwanath Chatterjee, and Anup Upadhyay. Sapna has worked with the production house in "F.I.R." too, and sharing her experience of working with them, she said, "I am working with Edit II since 2009 and it has been 12 years now, so you can understand my bonding with them. From the character lead to the main lead and from the main lead to an ITA award, my journey with them has been wonderful. I can happily say that this production house feels like family."
The actress was also a part of the first season "May I Come In Madam?", asked if there is any pressure to perform in the current season, she said, "Yes, the first season was a major hit but I am sure 'Excuse Me Maadam' will also be successful. The success of a show depends on the team work and the cast and crew is working really hard, so I am sure the audience will shower more love on us."
And how different is shooting in the new normal? Sapna said, "It's very different. Earlier when we used to shoot we used to have a lot of fun and even after the scenes, we all used to sit together, and have lunch, but now due to this pandemic situation the crowd is very less and we maintain a proper distance. However, we do take care of each other. I pray to god to get back to our old lives and all of us should stay healthy and fit."
