One of the longest running shows on Indian television, SAB TV’s F.I.R (Edit II) will soon bid adieu to its viewers.
What's even worse than the show wrapping up is that the very popular characters like Chandramukhi Chautala (Kavita Kaushik) will not be seen on our small screens anymore.
The show’s other popular character Gopinath Gandotra will also cease its existence. And the actor who enacted the role all these while, Gopi Bhalla, is upset on entering the pages of history.
He shared, “After shooting for nine years, the set has become like my second house. The cast and crew are like my family now. I will miss the routine of going on the set and shooting. I will also miss eating food and doing masti. I share a very good rapport with Kavita (Kaushik) and Aamir (Ali) and will miss shooting with them.
“The show has given me a lot like my own house, car, fame and undying love of fans.”
He added, “My role of Gopi was loved and appreciated a lot. In fact, there is a fan in Faridabad who has named his son after my character. I am glad that FIR came my way.”
Good luck, Gopi! And don't lose heart. You'll soon land a bigger project. Isn't it, readers?
