A page from the personal diary of Aditya Redij
The news of Imagine channel going off air came as a shocker for many, including me. I remember I was on the sets of my show, Preeto, when I got a call from a journalist, asking how do I feel on the channel going off air? I had no idea till then. I was shocked. I was like… ‘What’.
Then I went on and talked to someone in the production department and they confirmed that Imagine was going off air. Everyone was left a bit of panicked. Suddenly we realised that we have to wrap up in the next couple of hours.
I know that things do come to an end and as actors, we have to move on. But the decision came quite suddenly without any kind of intimation.
More than being sad on my show going off air, I am a little worried about all those who were working in the channel and have now lost their jobs. One day they went to work and the other day they were left jobless. They might have taken home loans, car loans, education loans and what not. It will be difficult for them. I think they deserved a prior notice.
But as they, everyone has to move on and may be the channel also had a valid reason to take such a dire step. All in all, the decision brought a gamut of diverse emotions in everyone working in Preeto.
Post Preeto, I have got a few offers but it’s too early to talk anything at this point of time. But yes, I will soon get back on the small screen to entertain my fans!!!
