However, today, my husband Rohit actively participates in our child’s upbringing. He takes full responsibility and ensures our son is ready for school whenever I am occupied with my fitness routine or work commitments. He understands that as a woman, I also need to prioritise my health, and he always supports me in managing both work and household tasks.
This change isn’t limited to just my household; I see it happening around me as well. Many of my friends experience the same level of support from their spouses. Even my mother-in-law encourages me in my professional journey. In the entertainment industry, we are also witnessing positive change—actresses are now valued based on their popularity, and the pay gap is narrowing. Women are receiving the respect they deserve.”

“Mangal is determined to carve out a name for herself, and though she faces numerous challenges, she refuses to give up. Her resilience reminds me of my own journey when I first moved from Delhi to Mumbai.
Auditioning for Diya Aur Baati Hum was a monumental step for me. I had never been away from my family before, and the thought of living alone in a new city was daunting. I often questioned whether I could manage without them. However, I took the leap, sacrificed my comfort, and pursued my dreams. It was an overwhelming yet rewarding decision that changed my life forever.”
