Jai Kalra - I am a very simple dal roti kind of a person

A page from the personal diary of Jai kalra Hello readers!! I am Jai Kalra and I hail from New Delhi. I came to Mumbai in 2004 to pursue my career in acting. I am a very simple dal roti kind of a person. I belong to a business family. During my college days, apart from studying, I also participated in modeling assignments. I had the look and the physique to walk the ramp. I was once the highest paid model in Delhi. Then I shifted to Mumbai and this mayanagri has been very nice to me. I got some advertising assignments, and entered the Bollywood industry with the movie Page 3. Currently, I am a part of Balaji Telefilms’ Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. I play the role of Vikram Shergill and I am having a blast portraying the character. Prior to Bade Achhe, I did negative avatars in Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil and Bhaskar Bharti. With this show, I spread my wings as I got an opportunity to enact a positive role. I even got nominated for my performance in Bade Achhe in the Eleventh Indian Telly Awards. I did not win but getting nominated is also an overwhelming experience. In the personal front, I have special affinity for theater and at leisurely hours I like to read, write poems, watch movies and play with my daughter, Anya. I think the best day of my life till date was when my daughter was born. I love her a lot. I want to thank my fans for all the love and support and would want them to support me for years to come.
