Jay Bhanushali, Jay Soni, Nandish Sandhu : Xmas birthday boys

Imagine celebrating your birthday with Santa Claus every year, Well, three of our hot TV hunks (Jay Bhanushali, Nandish Sandhu and Jay Soni) have been doing this for years as they were each born on Xmas Day. We first spoke to Jay Soni who is playing the male lead in Star Plus' Sasural Genda Phool. “I guess I will be working half that day (an occupational hazard, we guess) and in the evening I hope to go out for dinner with the family.” Last year, he had taken the efforts and thrown a house party on Christmas Eve where all his friends and co-stars were invited. But then what puts him off about birthday bashes, is the bumps that friends tend to give the one who is celebrating it. ”I don’t like them at all, and also with every passing year the importance of a birthday is diminishing,” he shrugs. He cannot place any of the gifts his friends have given him on the top list of birthday presents he has received. "My favorite gift from my family is the first bike I got when I was in school," he says with his eyes misting up. But having his birthday on Xmas has meant he does not get any special gifts for Christmas, though he likes the festival a lot as it is all about love and celebration. "As a child however I did not like it much as it was a holiday and I could never go to school in my best clothes," he reveals. And he does not make any pledges on his birthday or Xmas either. “I just want to keep on working and offer something different to my audiences. I don’t want to be an actor who fades out over time," he expresses. Next we, at Tellychakkar.com, buzzed Jay Bhanushali who was very busy shooting for Zee TV’s Dance India Dance 3 at Mohan Studio. After a few missed calls, he spoke briefly saying, “Mahi and I will be in Goa to celebrate my 27th birthday on the beautiful beaches of the paradise state." They are then slated to ring in the New Year in Hong Kong. The very much in love couple will be away for 10 days from the hustle-bustle of Mumbai. Jay is quite happy that his birthday falls on Christmas as “everybody remembers it .” He regards last year’s birthday party which his friends had thrown for him the most memorable “for many of many childhood buddies had turned up. It was an emotional journey down memory lane.” he says with a nostalgic voice. So what was the best gift the love of his life Mahi has given him? His eyes light up when he says: “Without a doubt the sexy Audi ...man what a snazzy set of wheels!” Looking ahead Jay feels that now is the time when he has to put his best forward and earn oodles of money “for this moment of youth will never return.” Last, but not the least, we spoke to Nandish and we found out that he does not have anything special planned for this year. “Every year I look forward to having a bash but this year I am extremely busy so mostly my better half and me will have a quite birthday at home,” he says happily "If a few close friends drop by then that will be sone pe suhaga.” Nandish just loves the Xmas spirit. “There are lights everywhere and people are partying away and eating yummy plum cakes,” he points out. However, one thing that annoys him about his birthday coinciding with Xmas is that earlier no one would turn up for his party as "everyone was busy doing his own thing." But that did not stop him from loving Santa Claus as a child as his parents would try and fulfil any birthday wish he wrote out or expressed. So what is the best gift Rashmi has given him? “An SLR camera. She knew exactly what I wanted,” he discloses.
