MUMBAI: Television power couple Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij have once again found themselves at the centre of media speculation regarding their marriage, with recent unconfirmed reports suggesting their divorce papers were signed and finalised earlier this year.
Amidst the persistent rumours, the couple chose a subtle approach, continuing to prioritise their daughter, Tara, and interacting publicly over her adorable moments.

The latest buzz started after Jay Bhanushali, who was on vacation in Japan with their daughter Tara and foster daughter Khushi, posted a humorous video on his Instagram account.
The light-hearted reel showed Jay and Tara being goofy, dancing enthusiastically to the viral track "There's squirrels in my pants," with Jay playfully lip-syncing to the line, "that girl's got some serious squirrels in her pants."
He captioned the post: "When Dad is alone with the kid, this has to happen." The post instantly went viral, not just for the charming father-daughter chemistry, but also because of Mahhi Vij's prompt reaction in the comments section.
Mahhi, who was away in Lucknow for a professional commitment, reacted affectionately to the clip, writing: "Tara is the cutest."
This exchange, while seemingly normal, caught the attention of fans and media, as it was one of the few recent public interactions between the couple, who have reportedly reduced their joint social media presence.
This interaction is particularly noteworthy given the context of the intense and unverified reports claiming that their separation was formalised during July or August of this year and that custody arrangements for their children were already decided.
Earlier this year, Mahhi had publicly addressed the constant scrutiny of her marriage, asserting her right to privacy and questioning the public's need to assign blame during a separation.
She stated in an interview, "Even if it is the case, why should I tell you? Are you my uncle? Will you pay my lawyer's fee? Why do people make such a big deal out of somebody's divorce or separation?" She added that people often attempt to cast one partner as the 'decent' one and the other as the 'bad' one without knowing the truth.
Despite the silence on the status of their marriage, both Jay and Mahhi continue to be openly devoted parents to their daughter Tara (born in 2019) and their foster children, Rajveer and Khushi.
