Jay Soni rejects three plump offers to take-off for his honeymoon

Actor Jay Soni is a workaholic in the true sense, and it is always work that tops his priority list. However, this time around, his priority is his wife Pooja Shah’s happiness and their long-awaited honeymoon. Yes, the actor is all set to take-off for a trip to Europe and Spain with his wife. But at this exciting hour, Jay found it really tough to refuse some plump lead offers that came his way. Jay who is known for his boy-next-door look has done popular shows like Sasural Genda Phool and Sanskaar – Dharohar Apnon Ki. Now, the actor bagged back-to-back offers from leading production houses, which needed him to start shooting almost immediately. Caught in a ‘Catch 22’ situation, Jay had to talk out his priorities and excuse himself from the shows. Says Jay, “It has always been work ahead of anything for me. But now, honeymoon is my priority, as I and my wife have been looking forward to this trip. I have been planning for it ever since the news of Sanskaar going off air reached me. But it was a tough task to refuse some good offers that came my way.” Talking further, the actor states, “Well, I was offered the lead role in Miloni Pictures’ show for Sony Pal. Then an offer from Shashi-Sumeet came my way; I was also offered a lead role in Rashmi Sharma’s show. With due respect to all the producers, I went and met them and explained to them about my commitments. Since all the shows needed to start shoot immediately, I could not get on board.” Talking about his wife’s endurance level, he explains, “She has been very patient and I cannot disappoint her now. I would have been thrown out of the house, if I had not planned this trip now (laughs).” Looking forward, the actor avers, “Well, I am eagerly looking forward to the trip with my wife. There is nothing more important than this at the moment. I will get back after 20 days, and hopefully the month of August will give me equally good offers.” Jay, have a great time with your wife..
