MUMBAI: In the first week of June, Sanjay Gandhi made the decision to leave Jhanak after realizing that his track had been delayed for longer than anticipated. He texted the producers to let them know what he had decided. He later had second thoughts, though, and returned to the show in the middle of July.

Reflecting on coming back to Jhanak, Sanjay said, “Show se badha kuchh nahin hota, and as they say, the show must go on. I was upset because I hadn’t been shooting for a long time. What was more disappointing was that the team didn’t even respond to my message when I informed them of my decision to quit the show.”

Sanjay further added, “A few days after I made my decision known to them, I received calls from the team members asking me to return. I eventually realised that quitting wasn’t the solution. I laid down a few conditions, especially regarding the number of days I shoot for the show, and the team agreed. Besides, I can’t afford to sit at home jobless.”

Sanjay, who plays the lead Hiba Nawab’s father in the show further added, “Another reason I decided to rejoin the show was my attachment to the character, the show, and the team. I appreciate that the producers and crew welcomed me with big hugs on my first day back on the set, which was on July 16.”

Sanjay concluded saying, “I hope my financial situation improves in the coming months. I have been through a really rough period recently. Aapke bure waqt mein hi aapko achhe aur bure ki pehchaan hoti hai. So, I will remember and hold on to those who helped me during this time.”
