Amitabh Bachchan disclosed on Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 15 that he had attempted to join the Indian Air Force but had been turned down.
Mr. Bachchan questioned participant Jeetendra Kumar, a senior accountant at the Ministry of Communications, about his career aspirations in one of the episodes from the 15th season.
Jeetendra replied, "No, I actually wanted to go into the Air Force. I also went to take many exams for NDA. A friend of mine told me that even you had taken the exam for the Air Force, is it true?"
Mr. Amitabh Bachchan recalled the moment he applied to join the Indian Air Force in response to the contestant's query. He revealed, "When I completed my schooling, I didn’t know what to do. I used to stay in Delhi with my family, and a major general from the Army used to stay nearby. He once came to our place and asked my father to send me and told him that I would become a big officer in the Army, but I wanted to go into the Air Force, but nothing happened."
Later on, Big B expressed the reasons for not joining in the Indian Air Force and shared, "When I went for the interview, they rejected me, saying that my legs were too long. I cannot be eligible for the Air Force."
