MUMBAI: Zee TV's longest running daily soap Kumkum Bhagya is all set to bid adieu to the viewers. As the show's plug is pulled-off, Akshay Dev Bindra who played the character of Raunak in the show spoke about bagging the show, his chemistry with Pranali Rathod, his character turning negative and more.
Talking about working with the Kumkum Bhagya team, Akshay exclusively told TellyChakkar, "Working with the KKB team was refreshing. I got to learn a lot from the senior actors, and I also understood how set life, though not easy, shapes and polishes you for future endeavors. I’m truly grateful to my directors Anil V. Kumar, Khwaja Sir, Khalid Sir, and Neeraj Balyani Sir for their constant guidance and support."

When asked about his chemistry with Prarthana played by Pranali Rathod, Bindra said, " I loved Prarthana and Raunak's chemistry! She’s an absolute gem to work with—very professional, humble, and a giving co-actor. There were no hang-ups, and that made our chemistry click naturally. I genuinely hope to work with her again in the near future"
Talking about working with Rathod, Akshay said, "As I mentioned earlier, she’s a very giving actor. I never had any difficulty performing scenes with her because she’s far more experienced than me in this medium. Her presence made the process effortless and enjoyable."
We asked Akshay about his thoughts on Raunak turning negative out of the blue, he said, "When Raunak turned negative, I saw it as a great opportunity. It allowed me to explore different emotions through a character who had initially been portrayed as only positive. In real life, such drastic shifts don’t happen, so I was happy to get the chance to play different shades and add depth to the role."
Here's wishing Akshay Dev Bindra all the best for future endeveours!
