MUMBAI: Star Plus’ Yeh Hai Mohabbatein wil air its last episode today. The popular show will be replaced by its spin-off, titled Yeh Hai Chahatein, which will star Sargun Kaur Luthra and Abrar Qazi in the lead roles.
Apart from Sargun and Abrar, the other cast includes actors Indraneil Sengupta, Aishwarya Sakhuja, Satyajit Sharma, and Siddharth Shivpuri. Now, we have information that actress Mallika Nayak has also been roped in for the show. Apparently, she will be seen portraying the character of Sargun’s mother in the show and will be paired opposite Satyajit Sharma.
Last seen in Colors' supernatural drama Kavach Mahashivratri, Mallika Nayak was also seen playing a prominent role in Jennifer Winget and Harshad Chopda starrer Bepannah. Speaking with IWMBUZZ, the actress confirmed the news and said, ‘Balaji Telefilms is the best place to work in. I am very excited about this show. I have shot barely for a few days and will shoot more from January 2020.’
