MUMBAI: TV is gradually transforming into a progressive medium where relationships, situations and characters are more realistic, something which the audience can easily relate to at some point in their television viewing experience.
Among the shows that are ruling the roost, one show which stands unique among the others is Ishq Subhan Allah on Zee TV. The show narrates how life takes a huge turn for them when Kabir and Zara, two ardent followers of Islam who have totally opposite principles and beliefs, cross paths with each other.
Played by Adnan Khan and Eisha Singh, Ishq Subhan Allah is lauded for the chemistry between the two actors and special claps for Eisha Singh who portrays Zara so beautifully. Zara is seen as a strong woman who wouldn’t fret to call spade a spade. She stands for what is right and expresses her feelings despite the taboos enforced by religion.
She’s a true example of woman enforcement because she stands for their right and tries to change the old norms and bring out a change in people’s perspective that both men and women deserve equal rights and respect. Though not a working, modern day woman, she knows how to keep herself rooted in traditions and still stay strong on her beliefs represent today’s school of thought.
And that is what makes Zara one of the most inspiring characters of television today. What’s your say?
