MUMBAI: Maati Se Bandhi Dor was reportedly facing an axe on Star Plus earlier. The channel has sent a notice to Ankit Gupta and Rutuja Bagwe's show to shut down because of low ratings. In the next months, Star Plus plans to introduce two new shows as part of a programming rejig. The makers of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, Imlie, are getting ready to release their new daily soap operas on the top GEC.

"There were plans to revamp the storyline by bringing new cast and introducing a leap. However, the plans have been cancelled as the channel wants to axe Maati Se Bandhi Dor. The low ratings and increase in viewership of Parineetii played a big role in the massive decision. The channel earlier issued a notice to the production house to increase the TRPs or shut shop," the source told the popular news portal.
An industry source told the popular news portal, "KBC 2024 will be the biggest launch on Sony Entertainment Television after Shrimad Ramayan. While Shrimad Ramayan witnessed a decent viewership, other shows failed to strike a chord with the audience. The channel will axe Shrimad Ramayan on a high note and shift Mehndi Wala Ghar to the 7 pm slot to make way for Kaun Banega Crorepati 16."
However, it's not taking place. The show will come to an end with Shrimad Ramayan. Both programs would be taken off the air to make space for Kaun Banega Crorepati 2024 in the prime-time slot.
A source told the popular news portal, "Sony Entertainment Television has decided to pull the plug on Mehndi Wala Ghar. The show will end with a huge finale episode next month. The last episode date has not been finalized yet but we know that the cast and crew will wrap up the shoot by the end of July 2024. Mehendi Wala Ghar will end to make way for Kaun Banega Crorepati 16. It will be their biggest launch of the year as Amitabh Bachchan hosts the quiz-based show."
The primary cast of Mehndi Wala Ghar includes Karan Mehra, Shehzad Shaikh, Shruti Anand, and Vibha Chibber.
