Munisha Khatwani turns producer

Munisha Khatwani

Munisha Khatwani who has been a successful Tarot Card Reader and an actress turned entrepreneur with Gyaan Productions, an event company along with her best friend Mazher Sayed.

Their event organization has been doing amazingly well and in such a short span of time they have done great events. Now the versatile lady dons the hat of a producer with her first play - Deal Waali Dulhania. Munisha says, “I realized that I need to extend and I wanted to do something different. I always wanted to get into production, so I thought of getting into it to gain some experience. That's how theatre’s idea came to me because by this I can at least learn the basics so that I am prepared for larger projects in future. Also I came across a good script co-incidentally and this gave me a good opportunity.”

Well, she is not only producing the play but also acting in it. She elaborates, “I am playing Chandarani Baadlani who is a Sindhi lawyer and I am going all out with Sindhi lingo. My character is very important in the play as she is the one who causes all the confusion in their life.” Certainly handling dual responsibilities would be difficult, Munisha agrees and says, “It’s a crazy experience. I am pulling my hair out; it’s very tough to manage both simultaneously. It’s my first time as a producer and I am doing my best.”

Does her comeback to acting indicate her return to television as well? Munisha promptly says, “At this moment I am enjoying theatre and my role of a producer. Once I am done with this I am planning to get back to TV, I would love to do a reality show. It’s very difficult to manage everything and right now I am just focusing on production.”
