MUMBAI: Shreya Kalra’s dance video has landed her in legal trouble.
Shreya has been booked for dancing on zebra crossing.
The social media sensation came into limelight after her reel video got noticed and she got into legal trouble. In the video, she can be seen dancing on the zebra crossing when the signal turned red.
Sharing the video on social media, Shreya Kalra wrote, “Please do not break the rules – a red sign means you have to stop at the signal not because I am dancing, and do wear your masks.”
However, the authorities were far from amused. On September 15, Minister for Home Affairs, Law, Prisons, and Parliamentary Affairs Narottam Mishra ordered police to file a case against her according to a report by TOI. Narottam Mishra said in Bhopal, “Whatever her intentions, her way was wrong. I have asked the authorities to register a case against her under Motor Vehicles Act so that no one dares follow this and it doesn’t happen again.”
Shreya released a video on Wednesday evening, explaining herself: “My main motive in creating the video was to make people aware that a red signal means traffic should stop and they should not cross the zebra crossing.”
For the uninitiated, Shreya Kalra was a participant of Roadies Revolution. She got a chance to participate in the youth-based reality show Roadies through the first ever live auditions held for the same during last lockdown. She nailed the auditions and won a direct ticket to enter the show. She entered as a wild card contestant. Shreya was a part of Nikhil Chinapa’s team, which also included Hamid, Michael and Aman. Shreya got eliminated prior to the finale episodes. She got eliminated in a double-vote out alongside Zabi. Hamid had won the season trophy.
