My character in Mahakumbh is strict and strong: Manish Wadhwa

Actor Manish Wadhwa, who has been mostly seen in negative roles will now essay the role of a loving father in Arvind Babbal’s upcoming show Mahakumbh on Life OK. Talking about his role, the actor said, “I am portraying the role of a doting father, who loves his son very much, but is not very expressive about his emotions. The father-son duo parts during a blast in the Mahakumbh mela and my character will be forcefully confined.” “My character is strict and strong who has his own moral values. He is a scientist by profession, and is aware about certain mysteries related to Mahakumbh. Even after he is captured, he will not reveal the secrets that he is aware of, because of his strong moral character and he will bear all the physical pains,” added the actor. Comparing his role in Mahakumbh with his other show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon- Ek Baar Phir, he commented, “My character in Iss Pyaar is mostly a negative one, where I am a playing the role of a business tycoon who is manipulative in nature and captivates everyone. But in Mahakumbh I am a person who himself has been captivated (laughs). On a serious note, both the characters are very different from each other.” Talking more about the show, Manish said, “Such kind of shows must be appreciated. Arvind Babbal has tried to do something new with this show. Firstly it’s a mystery series and secondly it is a finite one. If you don’t experiment with the plot or try to do something new, how can one say audiences like the same kind of melo-drama. They will only accept shows if they are presented with something new.” We do hope Mahakumbh gets lot of success.
