Creator Siddharth Tewary's ongoing epic for Star Plus, Mahabharat is witnessing the acting prowess of fresh set of performers.
Young actor Nirbhay Wadhwa, who is playing Dushasan, is one of them. Nirbhay essays the role of Dushasan, the mighty Kaurava who is devoted to his elder brother Duryodhan.
For Nirbhay, working with the horses now is simply a cake walk!!
However, the actor had to go through a lot before he mastered the skill of horse-riding.
In a conversation with Tellychakkar.com, Nirbhay tells us, “Few weeks back, there were few stunts with horses and I decided to do that on my own. While I was riding my horse I lost my balance all of a sudden and was about to fall. But somehow I managed to hold on. There were many other horses coming from behind, and it could have been risky. My knees were bruised and I went to the doctor’s clinic and got an X-ray done. But everything was fine by the grace of God.”
Explaining further on the training he underwent, the actor says, “Before we started doing the fight sequences, we all had trained ourselves. We used to have horse training sessions in the beaches in Mumbai, but obviously the horses were different. You also need to have a proper rapport with the particular horse on which you are riding on. Now I have become a pro and am friendly with the horses. I am enjoying every day on the set. I have started shooting for the last three months and people have told me that I walk and talk like Dushasan off the camera also. I have also grown my hair and moustache and am trying my best to emote appropriately.”
In response to his promo which has recently been on air, Nirbhay says, “After the new promos have started coming on air, I am getting a good response and I am eagerly waiting to come on screen as Dushasan.”
We wish you all the best, Nirbhay!!!
