MUMBAI: Rashami Desai has been a part of the industry since a long time now. She has given many hit shows like Uttran and Dil Se Dil Tak and has also participated in several reality shows like Nach Baliye, Khatron Ke Khiladi and Bigg Boss 13.
Bigg Boss 13 gave the actress immense popularity and revived her fan-following. In a candid LIVE session with TellyChakkar.com, Rashami bared her heart and spoke at length about his journey in the showbiz, Bigg Boss 13 being a difficult show and much more.
When asked about the first time she realised that she is a celebrity, she said, “I think during Uttran days. Uttran was extremely popular and people loved Tapasya. I remember one day post shoot I visited a mobile shop and was wearing my casual shorts and shirt. It so happened that a lady came up to me and held my hand and asked me about my outfit. She also judged me for wearing a saree on screen and shorts off-screen. I was sort of taken aback and couldn’t react, that’s when my mother came and told her that Tapasya is in the show and that I’m her daughter Rashami Desai”.
She further recalled an incident wherein she was mobbed at a Mall with people wanting to have a glimpse of her and everything was haywire. The authorities had to call the cops to control the crowd. She said, “After the situation was under control, the authorities asked me to not visit the mall during weekends”.
