After the super success of Indian Idol 3, season 4 is just around the corner. The wait for the same ends in September as the season takes off on Sony Entertainment channel. But what is unique this time is the fact that there is a solo host. Earlier seasons had two hosts with Mini Mathur being the constant at all three earlier seasons. This season Mini has opted out as she is pregnant. “This time only Hussain will be hosting the show. There is no female co-host. It will be a one- man show. The time slot will definitely be prime time following last year’s popularity,” says a source. “The show will go on air on 19 September. The format will be the same as that of earlier seasons,” adds the source. The panel of judges consists of Sonali Bendre, Kailash Kher, Annu Malik and Javed Akhtar. “The show will start with the audition rounds in different cities across India which will be followed by the final 14 or 15 contestants,” concludes the source.
