Pankaj Dheer Demise: The Traitors star Sudhanshu Pandey fondly remembers his first on-screen father late Pankaj; says, ‘He was like a real father to me… I still remember our last meeting’

The film industry was left reeling following the news of Pankaj Dheer’s passing after a prolonged battle with cancer, with his last rites taking place earlier today. In an exclusive chat with TellyChakkar, Sudhanshu revealed an habit of Pankaj Dheer that forever stayed with him.

MUMBAI: The entertainment world was left in shock today as news broke of the passing of veteran actor Pankaj Dheer, who had been courageously battling cancer for several months.

Pankaj Dheer, known for his versatility across television and film, had appeared in iconic TV shows such as Chandrakanta, Badho Bahu, Zee Horror Show, Kanoon, and more recently Sasural Simar Ka.

His film credits include Soldier, Andaz, Baadshah, and Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge, making him a beloved figure across generations.

In an exclusive conversation with TellyChakkar Sudhanshu Pandey shared memories working with Pankaj Dheer way back in the classic series Beta in 1980.

The actor said, ‘I have a lot of memories with him. He was the first reel father and was a father figure to me and was very humorous. I remember a habit that stayed with me, whenever he used to shake hands with anyone his palms used to smell very good as he used to use perfume on his hands and it impressed me and that thing stayed with me’

He ended by saying, ‘The loss is huge I had met him in a friend’s house a couple of months back and he had told me he was recovering’
