MUMBAI: Sony SAB is all set to bring to life another inspiring tale from Indian mythology with its upcoming show, Gatha Shiv Parivaar Ki - Ganesh Kartikey. Premiering on 6th October at 8 PM, the show will beautifully depict the story of Lord Shiva (Mohit Malik) and Goddess Parvati’s (Shrenu Parikh) sons, Lord Ganesha (Ekansh Kathoriya) and Lord Kartikey (Subhan Khan), their bond, journeys, and life lessons that continue to resonate even today.
Acclaimed actor Mohit Malik, who essays the role of Lord Shiva, is leaving no stone unturned in preparing for one of the most powerful sequences on the show, Tandav. Known for his dedication and intensity as a performer, Mohit rehearsed extensively to bring out the raw power, energy, and divine aura that the Tandav demands.
Sharing his rigorous prep, Mohit Malik, playing the role of Lord Shiva in Ganesh Kartikey said, “Playing Shiv is a divine responsibility, and the preparation had to come from within. It was very important for me to read about Shiv to understand his teachings, his relationship with his children Ganesh and Kartikey, his role as a husband, and how he guides us to be ideal human beings. I dedicate my one-hour journey to the set every day to deep meditation, which helps me slip into character even before I reach. Preparing for an intense Tandav sequence took me two months, during which I rehearsed 7–8 times in studios. When I finally performed the tandav on set, it turned out beautifully. This was one of the best dance experiences of my life, and I can’t wait for the audience to see it.”
