Priyamvada Kant chooses her newly formed 'dance academy' over Jodha Akbar

Decision-making is never easy!!! But when you have already made one, there is no going back. This is exactly what actress Priyamvada Kant experienced recently. Interestingly, the actress was offered the role of Rukaiya Begum in Balaji Telefilms’ Jodha Akbar currently airing on Zee TV when the news of Smilie Suri’s ill-health made headlines. However, Priyamvada could not take up the role due to certain commitments. And this is when Smilie got back to the show. So what kept Priyamvada away from grabbing such a golden opportunity? We asked her and she said, “I recently opened a dance academy (Dancamaze) in partnership with a friend, and since it’s very new I cannot take any projects that would keep me out of Mumbai. And since the Jodha set is in Karjat I had to opt out of it.” Though she agrees that she would have loved to be a part of it she told us, “I really wanted to be a part of Jodha as it’s one of the biggest Balaji shows. Also because Ekta maam (Kapoor) wanted me to play the role after she happened to see one of my videos on Youtube.” Nevertheless, the lady is looking forward to some good work in Mumbai, “I won’t be moving out of the city for a while. Hence, I am just waiting for good projects in the city to come my way.” We wish you luck Priyamvada!!!
