Yesterday (7 May 2012), Tellychakkar.com reported about the election in Mumbai for office bearers and the executive committee of the Film Writers Association (FWA) which was held on 6 May. Two groups, Writers Guild of India (WGI) and <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/progressive-writers-group-set-gain-control-fwa>Progressive Writers’ Group</a> (PWG) were vying to get a greater grip on the association.
While the results for the office bearers were announced yesterday, the counting of the ballot for the posts of the executive committee went on till early today morning (8 May).

Yesterday (7 May 2012), Tellychakkar.com reported about the election in Mumbai for office bearers and the executive committee of the Film Writers Association (FWA) which was held on 6 May. Two groups, Writers Guild of India (WGI) and Progressive Writers’ Group (PWG) were vying to get a greater grip on the association.
While the results for the office bearers were announced yesterday, the counting of the ballot for the posts of the executive committee went on till early today morning (8 May).
PWG candidates have once again won out, accounting for 12 out of the 14 seats with two going to the WGI.
Amongst those who have been co-opted on the committee figure are:
Anjum Rajabali, Atul Tiwari, Zoya Aktar, Reema Kagti, Abhijeet Deshpande, Jalees Sherwani, Kamal Pandey, Preiti Mamgain, Rajashree, Saket Chowdhary, Sandeep Srivastava and Sharad Tripathi.
The two WGI candidates who garnered seats on the committee are Aakash Jain and Pushpa Verma, while Sanjay Sharma has been designated as an associate on the committee.
