Life OK, as a channel has never shied away from attempting different concepts as part of its line-up. Now, they will be looking at a very unique project, a show which is to be produced by Jay Mehtaa Productions. Yes, Jay and Kinnari Mehtaa, who recently produced the Poonam Dhillon starrer on Sony TV, Ekk Nayi Pehchaan, are now working on a fiction show for Life OK, which is tentatively titled MBA Bahu. The story will have a Gujarati backdrop and will focus on the sacrifices that a well-educated girl would do once she would get married. The maker has roped in the popular face of Punjabi cinema, Gaurav Kakkar to play the male lead. Says a source, “Gaurav Kakkar will play the male lead in the show. New face Kirti Da has been finalized to play the female lead.” Talking about Gaurav, he is a well-known name in the Punjabi circuit, having done five Punjabi films, Myself Ghiant, Bade Changay Ne Mere Yaar Kaminey, Sadda Haq, Chak Jawaana, Hota Hai Dil Pyar Mein Paagal. He has also been an Assistant Director in addition to being an actor. He has also done a short film directed by Kunal Kohli. We hear that the team will soon be shooting a pilot, post which the show will go on floors. We sent a text message to Producer Kinnari Mehtaa, but did not get any revert.
