MUMBAI: TellyChakkar recently reported on versatile actor Makarand Deshpande returning to the TV screen with Peninsula Pictures’ next. The media firm is coming up with the TV adaptation of Betaal Pachisi on &TV. Makarand will don the garb of the mythical character Betaal.

TellyChakkar now has exclusive information that another popular actor has been roped in for the show. Actor and former supermodel Rahul Dev has been finalized. Rahul made his TV debut in 2013 with Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev and seems to have liked the mythological genre.

Rahul, 49, will play a character named Bhadrakaal in the upcoming fantasy drama. ‘His character is of far importance to the story and is a really integral part,’ an insider reveals.

The former Bigg Boss contestant is well known for his performances as an antagonist. On the TV front, he was last seen in Dil Bole Oberoi.

The weekly is currently in the pre-production stage. While Makarand and Rahul have almost signed the dotted line, the hunt for Vikram’s character is still on.

Rahul currently has everyone drooling over his hot physique. We are sure that his acting in the mythological drama will be much appreciated too.

Despite repeated attempts, Alind Srivastava and Nisar Parvez, the producers of Peninsula Pictures, and Rahul Dev, didn’t respond.
