MUMBAI: Remo Dsouza, who is a well-known choreographer and also a film director, is making headlines for the wrong reasons. A court in Ghaziabad issued a non-bailable warrant against the ABCD - AnyBody Can Dance director after he failed to appear in court over an alleged fraud case.
In the year 2016, a case was filed against Remo by Satyendra Tyagi, a resident of Raj Nagar, Ghaziabad wherein he alleged that the choreographer-director had taken an amount of rupees five crores from him in order to finance his upcoming film, Amar Must Die. The complainant stated that Remo promised to return double the money he borrowed that is 10 Crore after his film releases. However, Remo never returned the money and failed to appear in court for the hearing for the case.
According to a report in Indian Express, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Atish Kumar stated that a warrant was issued by additional chief judicial magistrate Mahendra Rawat and will be served to the choreographer in Mumbai after receiving permission from the Inspector General of Police, Meerut Zone.
On the work front, Remo Dsouza is gearing up for the launch of Dance Plus 5.
