After Karan Grover's exit, Star's afternoon raker Saarthi is finally getting its act together. With the current dramatic twist in the story, viewers are now getting to watch a new avatar of Bhoomi aka Zalak Thakkar. A modern day Bharatiya naari who goes against her family and tries to avenge her husband's (Arjun) death. She's now standing strong and still fighting for the injustice done to her. .
The family members, who are eyeing her property continue to harass her turning her into an emotional wreck. They've even declared her child manhoos and say that he's to be blamed for his father's death.
With everyone having turned against her, in the upcoming episodes we'll find the drama unfolding in a courtroom. Mansen (father-in-law) along with the villainy lawyer Natasha (Dimple Inamdar), will soon declare that the lady standing in the court room is not Bhoomi. Gawd...
So, now Bhoomi has to prove her real identity in the court of law. Oops… a typical Hindi film drama. But then that's what our audience demand.
So now remains to be seen how viewers respond well to the new twist in the tale? Also, how is the creative team coping up without a male lead in the show?
Says Creative head Sachin Mohite, "We're hoping that Bhoomi's new avatar will arouse a lot of audience interest. As for now, Arjun will not be back and Bhoomi play an important role. It remains to be seen how she avenges her husband's death and will the killer Yuvraj be sentenced or released. This will go on for 24 episodes."
The writer of the show, Jayesh adds, "Audiences love to watch a woman being tortured. Also, we are trying to weave in real life incidents into reel life of the characters. Also, Arjun is dead and I don't believe in getting dead people back to life."
So, will the serial now continue without a male lead? Answers Mohite, "We definitely need a replacement for Arjun. Afterall, it's a modern day Mahabharata. We are also looking at introducing new characters in the show."
Elaborating on the current track, Zalak Thakkar says, "The story is gaining speed and audiences are loving it. I now essay a different Bhoomi, who's a strong character with different shades to it. I am enjoying myself but even the responsibilities have increased. For every scene, I have to work it out well before the shoot. But its going to take some more time for the drama to unfold."
We'll definitely wait for that!
