Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming show Saraswatichandra is touted as the next big fiction show on Star Plus. As per our source, the show is slated to launch either on 18 February 2013 or 25 February, the latter date being preferred by the production house as 24 February happens to be the birthday of the ace Producer/Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Considering that this is a big show in terms of the money invested, we wondered which slot will be made vacant by the channel… And now we have some news for our readers. As per our inside source, Saraswatichandra might in all probability get the slot of 8 PM. And this means that the ongoing show Kaali – Ek Punar Avatar (Shakuntalam Telefilms) needs to either end or see a change in time slot. And we hear that the channel might apparently decide to give Kaali the 11PM slot. The reasoning of the channel might be that viewers who had earlier watched the romantic show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon at 8 PM slot could never switch off and switch on to watch a different show like Kaali. Hence Saraswatichandra which is again a cute romantic show might very well fit into the time slot and reap rewards. As for Kaali, it was always meant to be a six months show. And with the ratings not getting better (0.8) even with the introduction of the handsome hunk Arjun Bijlani, the serial might as well be shifted to the late night slot wherein there is likelihood that it might attract the eyes of the late-night TV viewers. We tried contacting producer Shyamashis Bhattacharya (Kaali – Ek Punar Avatar) to enquire about the probable change in timing, but he remained unavailable for comment. Having said this, the other shows on Star Plus, Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai (Cinevistaas) and Mujhse Kuchh Kehti.. Yeh Khamoshiyaan (Thought Train Entertainment and Trilogy Krikos) have also been faring badly on the ratings chart. It is now to be seen how Star Plus tackles this problem in hand and gives their much-awaited show the best time slot possible..
