A ‘Saudagar’ on Imagine

A few weeks back Tellychakkar had reported that Sagar Arts was producing a new daily for Imagine. Now we’ve got some more information to disclose on the said show. Says a source, “The show is tentatively titled Saudagar. The basic plot revolves around the lives of four couples – each belonging to a different caste/religion. We’ve got a Gujarati, Maharashtrian, Punjabi and a Muslim couple. Though the cast isn’t finalised yet, the likes of Vishal Gandhi (Bandhan fame), Hrishikesh Pandey and Vivek Madan have been offered the leading roles. Vishal could play the Gujju guy, while Hrishikesh and Vivek have the roles of the Muslim and the Maharashtrian guy respectively. Saudagar is likely to replace Ramayan.” We called Vishal Gandhi, Hrishikesh Pandey and Vivek Madan but each of them merely stated that nothing is finalised. Sagar Arts’ Prem Sagar had this to say, “I’m bound by contract and so I can’t comment anything. Why don’t you speak to the channel?” Imagine programming head Shailja Kejriwal remained unavailable for comment
